Sol was reset for this release — a brand-new live Sol, with no NPC history carried over.

• New pilots choose from Mining only. The other fifteen careers stay on the creation screen, greyed and tagged with the version they open in (Salvage first, in 0.4). Tapping one shows its ladder, along with a line saying what you will do in it once it opens. NEXT stays tied to the career you picked, so looking at a greyed one never changes it.
• A pilot already enrolled in one of them keeps flying it and can still resume a held ladder, so no save changes.
