Hey everyone,
Living Galaxy is officially online. After a long run of patches, late nights and more version bumps than I can count, the galaxy is live at living-galaxy.com, and this forum is its first port of call. Thanks for being here at the start.
The game Living Galaxy is a browser-based 3D space RPG. It runs right in your browser, on desktop or phone, with no install. You fly from the cockpit through procedurally generated star systems. The seed decides the star class, the planets, the belts and the stations. Beyond that is a universe map of systems that stay unknown until you get close enough to scan them.
The galaxy is meant to feel alive without you. NPC miners work the belts, pirates claim territory and build stations, patrol wings hunt them, and mercenaries take contracts, which can include contracts on you. Behind all of that is a player-and-NPC-driven market with a real order book. You can fly as a pilot, or you can run things as an Executive: contracting, commissioning builds and commanding a corporation's fleet from the nav map.
Me I'm Shane (SquirrelyShane). I'm a solo dev, and I build everything here myself: the game, the server and this site. A lot of it was built on a phone. Living Galaxy is the project I keep coming back to, and it's going to keep growing in small, frequent updates.
What I'd love from you
Bug reports, with your device and browser if you can. Ideas, whether they're features, lore or wild what-ifs. Stories about what happened out there. Emergent chaos is the whole point.
Fly safe, and don't trust anything hiding in a planet's shadow.
